The Virginia Legislature recently passed the Resale Disclosure Act which went into effect on July 1, 2023, and applies to contracts ratified on or after that date.  This Act can be found at the following link: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title55.1/chapter23.1/.  

 

As is already the case, Woodland Pond Lakefront Association, Inc., is required to provide a "Resale Certificate" when so requested by the current home/lot owner or the seller's agent. 

 

The Resale Disclosure Act allows the WPLA to charge fees to provide the Resale Certificate and to collect such fees at the time of the request.  The WPLA Resale Certificate Fee Schedule is found here:  WPLA Resale Certificate Fee Schedule.  The fee schedule for electronic delivery is less than the maximum allowed by the Common Interest Community Board.

Updates to a previously issued Resale Certificate can be requested by completing the Resale Certificate Update Request Form located here:  WPLA Resale Certificate Update Request Form.
